About Union Square
A Vibrant Historic Neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore
The landscape of Union Square – with its walkways, pavilion, fountain, and wrought iron lamps – recalls Victorian Era Baltimore. The Union Square Historic District is an area of Victorian rowhouses and commercial structures located approximately 10 blocks west of the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. The neighborhood is built on a grid street system which conforms to the original 1818 layout of the area. The terrain gently slopes down from west and east.
Union Square Park is a block-size park containing an ornate fountain and Greek Revival pavilion.
The Union Square Association is a neighborhood volunteer organization. By harnessing the time and talents of our residents from over fifty-two countries, we have been able to establish and maintain a thriving neighborhood.
We welcome everyone and strongly believe our diversity makes us a robust, engaged and supportive community.
